OnFARM Academy was launched in January 2020 by it’s creator, Anna Davies. OnFARM stands for Food, Agriculture and Rural Matters. The academy has been designed by rural business, for rural business. Anna’s original company is ‘Seen and Herd’, a full-service marketing communications agency. Through her work and connections there, she understood that not all businesses and organisations can afford personalised bespoke training and that the majority of available online training was not tailored towards rural business. This is where the idea of creating OnFARM academy came from.
OnFARM offer a wide range of courses such as how to take better pictures and manage your social media accounts. The training is all from a rural perspective by experts in the field. They offer a course on storytelling within your business and the importance that it brings to your PR. The course is designed to help you engage with potential customers and encourage their loyalty. At the end of the course, you are left with a workbook to help you put the training into practice. They also provide a course called mental health awareness in rural businesses for £65. It has been designed to help owners and employees understand the need of their team. All of their courses are online so can be done at a time that suits you. They understand that spare time is hard to find when you are running a rural business! Aside to their training courses they even have a few free sessions! They are all about food, farming, and rural life from Scotland and beyond. They release new episodes every Monday and they are presented by Anna herself as well as Ross Montague, a director at seen and herd.
