Updated: Feb 13, 2023

Have you been on a career break? Did you know that there is an organisation dedicated to helping professionals return to work?

Woman Returners was founded in 2014 to help normalise extended career breaks, whether for childcare, eldercare, relocation, or anything else. They are a purpose-led consulting, coaching and network organisation, and their management and coaching teams work with the returner community both before, and after their return to work.

Who can they help?

Women Returners was established to help experienced professionals return to work when their confidence is low. Returning to work after a career break can be daunting. If you are feeling low in confidence or are unsure about which way to go and how to get there, then Women Returners can help!

Interested in becoming a mentor?

There is a fund currently running called The Woman Returners Programme, which is funded by the Scottish Government. Women Returners are therefore looking for experienced UK Professionals (of any gender) who are willing to give a few hours of their time to provide support and advice to Scottish women professionals looking to get back to work. If you have at least 10 years of professional experience, currently employed in a professional role/recently returned, UK- based and willing to share your own experiences, then sign up! You don’t need to have previous mentoring experience or qualifications as Women Returners will provide the necessary training that you need. The fund is ongoing and will end March 2023.
