SkillSeeder works with many training providers across Scotland and features their latest courses on the SkillSeeder website and app. On this page you'll find some of the latest Scottish Government funded training courses and funding initiatives currently available. 


Latest funded training:

Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Practical Training Fund

Receive £500 or more towards a training course. This fund is open to anyone working in the rural sector who is looking to reduce their carbon footprint and improve sustainability for their business.

This fund is currently paused. Sign up
to be notified when the fund goes live again.

Latest funded training:

SDS Individual Training Account


Up to £200 towards a training course.

Individual Training Accounts are available to help people develop the skills they need for work, giving learners who meet the eligibility criteria up to £200 towards a single training course or training episode per year. And because it’s not a loan, the money doesn’t need to be paid back.

This phase of the scheme will accept up to 28,000 new applications and will remain open until 31 March 2023.

Making Work Work - For Women Returners

Making Work Work - for Women Returners are now recruiting women returner participants for cohorts starting in August after the school summer holidays.


The programme is fully-funded for eligible women facing challenges to find work that works following a career break of 6+ months (for any reason including childcare, postgraduate study, relocation, redundancy, caring, illness, menopause, etc).

Women in Agriculture Practical Training Fund


The Scottish Government is again supporting the Women in Agriculture Practical Training Fund, and applications are now being taken for 2022!

SkillSeeder has worked with Lantra Scotland to create the SkillSeeder Women in Agriculture Badge, which makes it quick and easy for find an eligible training course.

Develop your skillset with NTTF

Are you looking for short, sharp training opportunities to kick start your career? You could get
government funding to polish up your skills or develop new ones. The National Transition Training Fund (NTTF) is open – and can help you gain a qualification.

Be Your Best Self

The Be Your Best Self personal development programme for Women in Agriculture is a Scottish Government funded course. It is an integral part of the Scottish Government’s vision to make Scottish agriculture a fairer, more inclusive industry, where farm succession is not determined by gender, training is accessible to everyone, and more women take on senior roles in agricultural organisations.

Be Your Best Self aims to support women living or working in agriculture in Scotland to build their confidence, enhance their skills, and develop their leadership abilities.

Latest funded training:

The Scottish Government is funding a third cohort of the women returner’s programme in 2022.

Return With Resilience, is an employability skills programme, tailor made for women aged 40 + who have had a career break of at least six months.

Data Skills Accelerator


Fully funded by the Digital Start Fund administered by SDS 
on behalf of the Scottish Government.

The Data Skills Accelerator 10 week programme designed to develop analytic, collaborative and creative problem skills. Using both business applications (Excel, Power BI) and programming tools (Python) to analyse and manipulate data, create visualisations. The course finishes with a Real World project for a third sector organisation. 

Latest funded forestry training:

The Forest Industries Education Fund

The Forest Industries Education Fund makes awards to applicants for technical and professional courses such as chainsaw competency, business planning, or competency on woodland creation and carbon management; as well as educational trips, field courses and study tours. This fund is also available for skilled members wishing to improve or update themselves by attending suitable training courses or study tours.
